Fixed term for 3 years, 37.5 hours per week
We are looking to recruit a creative and flexible Heritage Manager to support the development of Pennine Heritage (http://www.pennineheritage.org.uk/) as part of an exciting Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP). Based in Hebden Bridge, you will support the Trustees in achieving their goals to deliver their 5-year business plan and extend Pennine Heritage’s outreach and engagement programme. You will be responsible for managing a committed and knowledgeable group of volunteers and you will explore the opportunities to diversify the activities undertaken at the Birchcliffe Centre. With support from the University of Huddersfield you will work with key stakeholders, including community groups, school children and University staff and students, to bring a rich and diverse archive to new and diverse audiences. Initially funded for three years, which includes a designated training allowance, there is the potential for this to become a permanent post for the right candidate.
Educated to Masters level or above, you will have experience of working with key stakeholders in heritage or public history contexts. You should be able to demonstrate your involvement in partnership working and have excellent communication and presentation skills. The post will involve some evening and weekend working for which time off in lieu will be awarded.
If you are interested in this post, please review the recruitment pack and use the application form to explain how your knowledge, skills and experience meet both the essential and desirable criteria required for the role.
If you are currently registered as a student at the University, please note that you may only apply for part-time jobs of 15 hours or less per week.
