The Department of Health Sciences has an exciting portfolio of education and research and due to an increase in student recruitment we are seeking to expand our team and employ 2 Lecturers/Senior Lecturers in Adult Nursing to help us achieve our ambitious plans for the future.
We are looking for individuals who have experience of nursing adults and who are committed to working in partnership with service users, carers and other members of the health and social care team. You will have experience of working with students and will be able to inspire them to excel through positive role modelling and innovative teaching. Applications from candidates with an acute/emergency/critical care background would be particularly welcomed.
Current registration with the NMC is essential and you must be a member of the Health Education Academy (HEA) or have capacity to obtain membership within 12 months of appointment.
For appointment at Lecturer level you must hold a Masters qualification, or be working towards one which will be completed within 12 months of appointment, followed by enrolment onto a PhD. If you currently hold a Masters qualification you will be required to enrol onto a PhD within 12 months of appointment.
For appointment at Senior Lecturer level you must hold a Masters qualification and a Doctorate qualification or be currently working towards one.
If you are currently registered as a full-time student at the University please note that you may only apply for part-time jobs of 15 hours or less per week.
