We are seeking to appoint a committed and ambitious mental health nurse to the role of lecturer or senior lecturer in Mental health Nursing, could this be you?
You will join a dynamic and motivated team to deliver teaching, learning and research within the Division of Mental Health and Learning Disability nursing. You will contribute to the effective delivery of the BSc and MSc pre-registration nursing programmes, post registration courses and innovations within the Health and Wellbeing Academy.
Your role will include the design, development and delivery of innovative and effective teaching and learning methods, and utilisation of research in programme delivery. Committed to professional development, you will engage in research and scholarly activity to enhance your teaching and expand the body of knowledge of your topic area.
Our students are diverse, and we welcome applicants who demonstrate commitment to enhancing student experience through facilitating student centred learning and support. You should have knowledge of a broad range of contemporary Mental Health nursing practice across a range of healthcare settings, including support of people with autism and/or specific learning difficulties. Your role will also provide support to practice supervisors and practice assessors within clinical practice areas.

Current registration with the NMC and either completion or working towards a master’s degree in a relevant subject are essential. You must be a member of the Health Education Academy (HEA) or have capacity to obtain membership within 12 months of appointment. On appointment you must be prepared to register and study towards a doctorate if you do not already hold one.
