The University of Huddersfield is seeking to appoint an Optometry Clinic Manager to support the operations and management of the proposed Optometry Clinic within the recently formed Department of Optometry and Vision Sciences in the School of Applied Sciences.
You must be an optometrist currently registered with the General Optical Council with an ability to supervise undergraduate optometry students. Experience in optometric practice including the use of technology relevant to practice is required. Higher qualifications in optometry, management experience in an optometry practice and experience with the delivery and assessment of students in optometry will be highly valued.
This is an opportunity to help make a difference in optometric education and practice in a University setting. You will join the development of a well-equipped and funded Optometry initiative in the School of Applied Sciences where you will have a key role in developing a clinical service and supporting clinical teaching and supervision.
