Permanent, part-time 0.8 FTEThe BA (Hons) Photography programme in the School of Art, Design and Architecture is a popular and highly successful course within the school. It offers students the potential to develop a thoughtful creative approach to the practice and theory of photography with a strong focus on industry engagement. The course is approved by the British Institute of Professional Photography. The School is in the process of revalidating the course with a new pathway of Photography and the Moving Image.
With a Masters qualification in an appropriate subject area, you should also have appropriate teaching experience at HE Level and a strong awareness of photography and moving image. The ability to contribute to cultural practice in the field as well as to curriculum development and teaching delivery is essential. As an active practitioner or researcher in your field you will have a profile that informs your teaching.
You will be joining a dedicated, passionate and forward-thinking course team, support Course Leader in a range of professional activities, and will develop new courses, curricula and teaching materials in the subject area of photography and the moving image.
In addition to your application, you will be required to submit a digital portfolio of your visual work with your application.
Applicants who will require Tier 2 sponsorship under the Points Based Immigration System can only be considered if they do not currently hold Tier 2 sponsorship as the rate of pay for this post is appropriate for new entrants only.
If you are currently registered as a full-time student at the University please note that you may only apply for part-time jobs of 15 hours or less per week.
