The University of Huddersfield has an exciting and rare opportunity for two enthusiastic and experienced Speech and Language Therapists to be the founding academics of a new BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapy course commencing in September 2021. The successful applicants will play a key role in shaping the course, including design, content and delivery. The course is in development and is currently undergoing validation, and will join the highly rated undergraduate occupational therapy and physiotherapy courses in the Division of Health and Rehabilitation.
To be successful in this post you will be committed to delivering high quality teaching and preparing our students to be excellent therapists ready for current and future practice developments. You will have in-depth clinical experience and knowledge in speech and language therapy, and a track record of innovation, involvement in higher education and/or research. You will have demonstrated the capacity to develop and maintain effective partnerships with community organisations, professional bodies and inter-professional colleagues locally, nationally and internationally. You will be willing to undertake research and enrol on a PhD within 12 months of commencing in this role if you do not already have one.
