At a time of exciting developments in the School of Art, Design and Architecture, one highly creative and enthusiastic individual is required for the post of Research Assistant within the Research Centre: Innovative Design Lab. The Department of Architecture and 3D Design currently offers an exciting portfolio of Architecture, Design and Built Environment courses and is committed to promoting high quality research across diverse areas of design and construction.
We are seeking anoutstanding individual with experience in Building Information Modelling (BIM). The candidate appointed to the role of Research Assistant will join an enthusiastic, and highly professional research, teaching and enterprise team.The candidate will be responsible for delivering research around the area of BIM, as well as the S-IMPLER project (see http://www.hud.ac.uk/research/researchcentres/idl/currentresearchprojects/s-impler.php).
The post holder will also be responsible for developing REF returnable research outputs, organising Industrial Forums, coordinating and building links with industry and other stakeholders.
The successful candidate will actively develop research and also support teaching and external promotional activities. The candidate will be joining a dedicated, passionate and forward-thinking team and will be expected to demonstrate excellence in his/her work with proven research experience in BIM.
This is an open-ended appointment and is dependent upon the availability of specific funding in this School. In the event of there being no further funding available to support this post you will receive appropriate notification of the termination of your employment in accordance with contractual provisions.
Applicants who will require Tier 2 sponsorship under the Points Based Immigration System can only be considered if they do not currently hold Tier 2 sponsorship as the rate of pay for this post is appropriate for new entrants only.
If you are currently registered as a full-time student at the University please note that you may only apply for part-time jobs of 15 hours or less per week.
