Fixed term for 2 years, 37 hours per week
The School of Computing and Engineering is seeking to recruit a Research Fellow in precision engineering. The person appointed will have a PhD in mechanical manufacture and automation.
The appointee should have a comprehensive background in the field of precision engineering and demonstrate an awareness of the current state of the art micro/nano-machining techniques. Strong knowledge in ultra-precision machining, process modelling, material dynamics, surface integrity and practical experience in micro/nano-manufacturing are key requirements.
Candidates must have a good record of recent publications in high quality journals and show a good experience on team work and supervision of post-graduate research students.
If you are currently registered as an undergraduate student (full or part-time) at the University, please note that you may only apply for part-time jobs of 15 hours or less per week.
