Permanent, 37 hours per week
We are seeking to recruit an Assistant Records Manager and Archivist to assist the University Archivist and Records Manager in the management of the University's corporate records and assist in the provision of archives and special collections services to support teaching, learning and research.
Duties will include providing support and guidance to staff, promoting the service and delivering training sessions in information management. You will also assist in making appropriate arrangements for retrieval, access, retention and disposal of University records, in accordance with appropriate legislation, standards, best practice and policies; in particular, assisting with the roll-out of the Electronic Document and Records Management System.
You will also catalogue archive collections to international standards and help to develop and maintain a digital preservation environment for corporate records in line with international standards and best practice.
You will also be expected to supervise archive assistants and volunteers, and liaise with a wide-range of internal and external stakeholders.
If you are currently registered as a full-time student at the University please note that you may only apply for part-time jobs of 15 hours or less per week.
