Fixed term appointment for 3 years, Part time - 0.8 FTE
Applications are welcomed from suitably qualified candidates for a three year fixed term Research Assistant in Music. You will be an ambitious researcher keen to work productively in a thriving research team. You will be familiar with dynamic web-site design and development, in combination with music notation software, and have experience of music analysis and/or post-war music and its practices.
The post will involve working closely with Dr. Philip Thomas (University of Huddersfield), as well as with Professor Martin Iddon (University of Leeds), to create, develop and test an interactive web-site focussing upon the Concert for piano and orchestra by John Cage. You will also collate audio and work with musicians in preparation for performances and recordings.
A PhD together with training and experience with web-site development are essential requirements for this role.
If you are currently registered as a full-time student at the University please note that you may only apply for part-time jobs of 15 hoursor less per week.
