The School of Applied Sciences at the University of Huddersfield is looking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Assistant in Microbiology/Molecular Biology to work on a research project with Professor Paul Humphreys to determine the genetic and molecular basis for immune stimulation by the gut microflora.
You will work in collaboration with microbiologists, cell and molecular biologists and analytical scientists including Professor Andrew Laws and his team. A First or Upper second class honours degree in a relevant subject and a PhD (or nearing completion) in microbiology, biochemistry or molecular biology are essential requirements for this role. The project will involve industrial collaborators and therefore you will be expected to have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
