The School of Human and Health Sciences at the University of Huddersfield is seeking to appoint a full-time Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to make contributions to the academic work of the Division of Sport, Exercise, and Nutrition Sciences. This will include teaching on the undergraduate and postgraduate provision on our sport and exercise science, and sport nutrition programmes. A particular focus on physiology and nutrition is central to this role.
You will hold a minimum of a Master’s degree or equivalent level qualification in a relevant discipline. A doctoral qualification, or the capacity to complete one (for Senior Lecturer level), or register for doctoral study (for Lecturer level) within the first 12 months of employment is essential along with the ability to contribute to the research of the Division are important. Experience of applied practitioner work relevant to physiology or nutrition, in addition to relevant teaching experience in Higher Education are also desirable. You will also have a proactive attitude, and be able to undertake student centred teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure a positive student experience. We are seeking highly motivated and talented candidates, who will not only make the most of opportunities provided by our School, but also help to develop new opportunities in research and teaching.
