The History Subject Group at the University of Huddersfield is offering an exciting opportunity for a practitioner/researcher operating at the interface between academic research, teaching and community/heritage practice.
Working with Professor Paul Ward, Dr Rob Ellis and Dr Rob Light you will support the development of their ESRC/AHRC Connected Communities funded projects working with community partners in housing, ethnic minorities and mental health charities and agencies. You will also be closely involved in providing leadership to students working on community and heritage focused projects across the History programmes.
An ability to teach Modern European or American History at Level 1 would be an advantage. A PhD in History, Heritage or a historically focused Social Science is essential as are an appropriate level of research publications for submission to REF 2014 and some experience of working in a research team, preferably within a Connected Communities project.
